61I almost never take a taxi when we are in Las Vegas. It ends up costing a small fortune because the traffic moves so slowly.
You can get... almost anywhere in Las Vegas Free or Very inexpensively.
First off, the inexpensive way is to ride the CAT Bus. You can ride for 24 hours for a $5 pass.

Sams Town Shuttle... The Hotel and Casino at Sams Town offers a free shuttle service that will take you to and from Sams Town to the Strip, To and from Sams town to Fremont Street. The bus usually runs around 9 am to about 11 pm but that can change.
If you are on the strip and want to go to downtown Las Vegas, Hop the Sams Town bus from Harrahs or the Riviera, go to Sams Town and catch the but to downtown Las Vegas. A free ride.... we once took a taxi and it cost $24. one way. That was years ago so I have no idea what it costs today. It really depends on how much traffic there is, because the meter does not stop running in a taxi.

Rio And Harrahs Shuttles
You can catch a shuttle that runs from Harrahs, Caesars Palace, Ballys and Paris, to the Rio. They usually start at 10am and are usually on time.... they run until 1 am Monday through Wednesday. Thursday through Sunday they run 10am to 4am.

Orleans and Gold Coast Shuttles
There is a free shuttle that runs between Orleans, Gold Coast and Bills Gambling Hall 9am to 1am 7 days a week.

Hard Rock
There is a a fee shuttle between the Hard Rock Hotel and Caesar's Palace, The Fashion Show Mall, 10am to 7pm. You might want to check the times that the bus will get to each stop.
